As our world evolves, we need to evolve with it. Texans deserve to live in a world where connectivity is there to help reunite us and keep us safe.
We have the technology and resources, so let’s use them!
BTH is an alliance of Texans who care deeply about recovering missing persons. Our goal is to reunite Texans with their families more often and more quickly. We hope to do so by helping the state utilize the infrastructure already in-place, to create a modern and efficient digital AMBER Alert signage system. We adamantly believe color pictures displayed through digital signs are the key component to higher recovery rates of missing Texans.
In this golden age of technology, we believe the current framework being used for the AMBER Alert signs is outdated and we are doing ourselves a huge disservice in not addressing this issue. Digital alert campaigns prove to be effective in reuniting loved ones with their families, but there is so much room for improvement.
The most common reason for an AMBER Alert success story is an individual or law enforcement recognizing the vehicle from the AMBER Alert at 43% of all recoveries, followed by the abductor hearing or seeing the alert and releasing the child at 17 percent of all recoveries. Recovery rates could be so much higher if crucial details involving the alert were instantly displayed along Texas roads and freeways in a form best suited for high-speed travel: images! Imagine the impact displaying images of AMBER Alert details could have, pictures of faces and vehicles etc. It would be much easier for law enforcement and the public to aid in these dire situations.
In not utilizing digital signs in a more modern way across the state, we are missing out on so many opportunities for reuniting loved ones. Bring Them Home Texas sees a pathway to modernization with an already existing industry of experts and resources.
We want you to join us in our mission to effectuate public policy changes to recover missing persons using digital signs.
