Our Mission at Bring Them Home Texas
Allowing technology to sit on the sidelines for a task as tragic and paramount as recovering missing or exploited Texans is a disservice to Texas families and the law enforcement who tirelessly search for those missing loved ones. Bring them Home Texas is a coalition of Texans who care deeply about recovering the missing. We are joining forces with law enforcement to effectuate public policy changes that serve the greater interest of public safety and Texans everywhere.
Proven Results with Digital Alert Campaigns
We recognize that digital alert campaigns including photos have significantly increased the number of recovery success stories and proven to be the most effective way to reunite loved ones with their families. We have a valuable tool for this already in place across the state, along some of the most heavily traveled roadways in the country, digital AMBER Alert signs.
There are currently more than 1,000 state-owned digital signs along our highways
However, updates to how we broadcast AMBER Alerts on these digital signs are long overdue. Whether it’s broadcasting pictures of abductors, vehicles or sharing photos of the missing person, no matter if it is a child, Veteran or Elderly individual, these digital signs have the capability to present those urgent details to thousands of people across the state instantaneously, but current laws won’t allow it.
We believe that modernizing the AMBER Alert System in a way that uses digital images is the key component to higher recovery rates and the eradication of future abductions.
Our government has the infrastructure and support from industry experts to modernize their recovery practices and they are simply not utilizing them. Bring Them Home Texas believes digital signage is the key component to higher recovery rates of missing Texans.
The goal of Bring Them Home Texas is to reunite more Texans with their families more often and more quickly. We hope to do that by urging the state to utilize the infrastructure already in-place, in the form of Amber Alert signs, in a more modern, productive, and efficient manner.
